Head to Lake Lucerne’s Pier 7, near the Lucerne railway station, to board the spacious 161-foot (49-meter) motor yacht. On board, find a comfortable spot on the main deck or upper deck and get ready for your 1-hour cruise around Lake Lucerne!
Take in views of the breathtaking mountain scenery, marked by steep Alpine peaks, sloped forests and fertile meadows and valleys beyond. And it was Salzburg Panorama Tours taking the Sound of Music film crew to the various locations where the famous movie was filmed.
Right after release, the film became a tremendous success, awarded with 5 Oscars becoming the highest grossing movie ever and reaching cult status over the years. Both, musical and film are based on the "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers" written by Maria von Trapp in 1949.

This tour will show you the very best of the city, including both modern and historic highlights. First drive around the Ringstrasse, Vienna’s most famous boulevard with its many sights. The State Opera House, the Hofburg, the national museums, the Burgtheater, the City Hall, Parliament and the university are just some of the magnificent buildings you'll see, alongside beautiful green parks and striking monuments.
The first stop will be made at the Hundertwasser Haus with its colourful facade, before continuing past the Prater recreation grounds with its Giant Ferris Wheel, one of Vienna’s best-known landmarks. Cross the River Danube into the modern city and take a closer look at the impressive contemporary buildings and the UNO City.
Return via the Ringstrasse and Schwarzenbergplatz to Belvedere Palace, one of the most outstanding examples of baroque architecture anywhere in the world. Take time to admire the view over the city from the gardens.
