Darbar Sahib or Sri Harmandir Sahib or The Golden Temple is one of the most spiritual Place in India and the holiest shrine for Sikhism. Located in city center Golden Temple is easily accessible from any part of the city. Sri Harmandir Sahib (The Golden Temple) organises the largest langar sewa in the world. It serves around a 100,000 devotees daily. While food is served, all the devotees sit together in rows on the floor, irrespective of their religion, caste or creed. All the devotees are considered equal here.

Spread over 6.5 acres of land near Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh is connected with one of the saddest day in Indian History which occurred in April 1919.Thousand of innocent people were killed on the day of gathering of Baisakhi by the order given by General Dyer.
The place is now turned into beautiful public park.The tragic incident left a deep scar on the country, and a memorial was constructed after the independence and was inaugurated on 13 April 1961. A number of structures are present inside the premises which remind’s of the incident that occurred here. These include a wall which still bears the marks of the bullets that were shot blindly at the civilians and a well in which many people jumped to save themselves from the bullets.Over a 1000 Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs lost their lives in this brutal assault.

It is located in the district of Chamba, is one of the most popular as well as most frequent sanctuaries in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Popularly known as the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, the entire forest is covered with the thick foliage of deodar trees. Kalatop is located approximately 12 kms from Dalhousie and it can be easily reached through trekking. The visitors often come here with family or friends, and spend hours gazing at the beautiful surroundings of Kalatop that embrace the amazing green landscapes and majestic mountains in its vicinity.The Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary or the Khajjiar Wildlife Sanctuary lies along the river Ravi and has a rich forest cover. It has a wide variety of animal species like bear, leopard, jackal, and langur and bird species like Eurasian Jay, Black Headed Jay, and the Black Bird. The route to Kalatop is via Lakkarmandi, which is another famous spot in Dalhousie, known for its Dhogri family population, who make charcoal for a living. Kalatop is an amazing place.

Rang Mahal was founded by Raja Umed Singh who ruled from 1748 to 1764. It is one of the largest monuments and is located in Surara Mohalla, Himachal Pradesh, which is in Dalhousie. The architecture has a unique amalgamation of Mughal and British styles. During those times the western part of the monument was used as a royal granary and treasury. Although Raja Umed Singh laid Rang Mahal’s foundation stone, Raj Sri Singh built the southern portion of the monument much later. Until recently the walls of this 18th century monument were adorned by a lot of paintings of the Punjab Hill style. These paintings portrayed the life of Lord Krishna.
Changes have come in this historical place after the State Handicrafts Department decided to take control over it. It has moved some of the paintings to the National Museum located in Delhi. Besides that, some of the historical artefacts have been preserved in the Bhuri Singh Museum of Chamba. Still, one can find a lot of paintings on the walls of the building. Nowadays most of the rooms are being used for promotion of small-scale industries like manufacturing of chappals and handkerchiefs. At a distance of 20 km from Manali Bus Stand and 22 km from the Kullu Bus Stand, The Naggar Castle is a famous castle located in Naggar. It is one of the best places to visit in Manali. The Castle overlooks the Kullu Valley. From the castle one could see the far off snow-covered peaks, the delightful Beas valley below and the lush green hill sides dotted with apple orchards. This is another popular attraction not to miss in a Manali tour package.
The Naggar Castle is a magnificent historical structure. The castle was built by Raja Sidhi Singh in 1460 AD in an impressive combination of European and Himalayan architecture. The castle has traditional architecture called Kathkooni, which uses a combination of stones and wooden beams.
The Naggar Castle was used as a Royal residence and state head quarter until the British took over the whole Kangra and Kullu from Sikh's in 1846. Raja Gyan Singh sold it to the first assistant commissioner, Major Hay for a Gun. The northern wing of the castle was later converted to the European way of living by putting in staircase, fire place and chimneys. He later sold it to the Government when it was used as a courthouse. In 1947, with the departure of the British the court-activity ceased.
In the year 1978, the castle was converted into a rest house and more recently into a heritage hotel that is run by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC). The Naggar Castle has been recently renovated while keeping its heritage structure intact.
There are three small shrines present within the premises that hold religious significance. Here, a gallery houses the paintings of the Russian artist Nicholas Roerich.
Situated in the midst of the snow-covered hills of Manali, the Hadimba Temple is a one of a kind sanctuary committed to Hidimba Devi, who was the spouse of Bhima and mother of Ghatothkach. Flanked by perfect cedar woods, this wonderful holy place is based on a stone which is assumed to be in the picture of goddess Hidimba herself. The monastery is run by the local people who gather funds through donations. The unique feature of the monastery is the handicrafts of Tibetan artistry and the carpets that are woven and sold in the monastery. The Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa was constructed in the year 1969. The architecture of the monastery represents the Tibetan style of architecture designed with hued frescoes. The statue of the Lord Buddha presides in the monastery.The Himalayan Nyingamapa Gompa is situated near the market place in Manali. The architecture of this monastery replicates a more modern style than the earlier one. Placed in the midst of sunflowers, the monastery glows at night with light bulbs lit to lighten it up. The huge gold faced bronze statue of Lord Buddha presides over the monastery.
Vashisht is a little town in the Kullu zone of Himachal Pradesh, and it is renowned for the Vashisht Ashram and the Vashisht Baths( Hot springs ).This temple consists of wooden carvings which draws the attention of travelers from all corners of the world and hence proves to be an important vacation spot in Manali. Kufri is a tiny hill station located near Shimla. They can hike through thick forest around Kufri to the Mahasu Peak. The other places to visit in Kufri are the Himalayan Nature Park, which has a collection of animals and birds found only in Himachal Pradesh, and the Indira Tourist Park, which is near the Himalayan Nature Park and provides panoramic view of the locations around Kufri. In winters, the snow-covered slopes of Kufri come alive with skiers and other visitors.It is famous for its trekking and hiking trails. Adventure-seeking travelers throng Kufri in winters to enjoy skiing and tobogganing along its snow-covered slopes. Kufri is also famous for its nature parks and picnic spots.The best time to visit Kufri is in summers, between April and June. Nestled at a distance of 23 Km from Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, the Golf Course in Naldehra is the oldest golf club in India. The golf course stretches over an extensive area surrounded by trees at an altitude of 2,200 metres. It is a par 68, 18-hole course with 16 greens and 18 tees. In the year 1905, Lord Curzon was captivated by the beauty of the region and so he made his favourite camping site just outside the British summer capital of Shimla. What he made in 19's is now considered as one of the most scenic golf course in the country. Also, it is believed that in the memory of his stay he named this place as Alexandra Naldehra, which was the name of her theird daughter. Naldehra Gold Course remains open from April to November as the weather is quite pleasant.Entry is free of golf course but golf packages are there.

Mall road means “married officers accommodation and living lines” road. Before the partition of Pakistan and India; British constructed accommodations for officers and other ranks opposite to each other separated by a road between them. Hence MALL road were constructed in different cities in the then subcontinent.Mall Road is one of the most popular attractions for tourists & visitors & for locals also in Shimla which encompasses many clubs, bars, banks, hotels, shops, offices, post offices, restaurants, and tourism offices. People can gradually walk up to the Mall Road and enjoy the beautiful views of nature while sipping their favourite coffee.A lot of people & family & groups meet and hang out at the ridge and scandal point on Mall Road, see the Himalayan range and do some shopping. The Mall Road is connected to Road Ridge by Scandal Point. The statue of nationalist leader Lala Lajpat Rai has been installed.

Located above Jakhoo hill, the temple is a holy place for the Hindu communal of India. It is dedicated to the Hindu God, Hanuman. This hill is situated 2.5 km from the Ridge at the height of 2,455 m above sea level and is Shimla’s highest peak. From the hill, visitors can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Shivalik Ranges and the sister town of Sanjauli. The 108 feet tall idol of Lord Hanuman which is located at the top of the hill and is a big attraction for tourists. The premises hold several paintings that represent the story of Hanuman during Ramayana. Installed in 2010, the 108 feet long idol of Hanuman is an attraction in itself and has enticed a huge number of tourists throughout the years. Illuminated with lights in the night, it is a grand sight to watch on your Shimla tour and is visible from anywhere in Shimla. Legend and myth suggests that the monkey Lord Hanuman rested here while on his search for the Sanjivini Booti (a kind of herb). He met sage Yaaku on the hilltop and then moved ahead in his journey. It is also believed that the sage built this temple. Devotees from all over the country come here, especially at the time of Dussehra festival celebrations. World’s tallest statue of Lord Hanuman was unveiled to the public by Abhishek Bachchan on November 5th, 2010
